Veterinary Concerns

A very common question asked of groomers is “Do you sedate?”. The answer is absolutely not. Groomers are not legally or morally permitted to sedate your pet. If your vet has prescribed sedatives for your pet, we ask that you administer them. In a handful of cases, due to elevated stress levels that your pet may experience during grooming, we will recommend you speak to your vet about sedatives. This is for your pet’s safety.

Your pets are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies. We strongly recommend that you follow your vet’s instructions regarding other vaccinations and preventative treatments for the protection of your pet. However, we do not require proof of vaccination.

Please keep in mind that we are not licensed to diagnose or suggest treatments. We can only offer our observations and opinions based on experience.
